Local Heroes

Landing page

As the Design Lead for 7shifts’ Local Heroes campaign, I led the design of the landing page and supporting marketing materials that introduced the first feature in this storytelling series.

Inspired by the look and feel of a film preview, the page was built to showcase real stories of restaurant owners using 7shifts to empower their teams, starting with gusto! in Atlanta.

I also designed social ads and digital assets that extended the campaign across channels, using photography and film art-directed and captured by our in-house design team to create a cohesive, cinematic brand experience.

Project Scope

A Cinematic Landing Page for Restaurant Storytelling

As Design Lead for the Local Heroes campaign, I was tasked with creating a landing page that would serve as an ongoing home for documentary-style stories featuring restaurant owners using 7shifts to empower and grow their teams. The goal was to craft a visually compelling and emotionally resonant space that would evolve with each new story in the series.

Inspired by the cinematic experience, like walking past a movie theatre or scrolling through Netflix, I designed the page with a film-like essence, guiding users through stories in a way that felt curated, immersive, and human. I collaborated closely with our internal team on the art direction of both photography and film, ensuring the visuals aligned with the tone and impact of the campaign. This storytelling extended beyond the landing page, with design support for social ads and marketing materials that carried the look and feel across touch-points.

Impact: This project established a strong visual and narrative foundation for the Local Heroes campaign, positioning it as a premium, people-first initiative. The cinematic design and curated storytelling helped shift perceptions of the brand from product-focused to community-centred while showcasing the meaningful impact of 7shifts through the voices of real restaurant teams. The campaign launch generated strong internal engagement, excitement across marketing channels, and set the stage for future story rollouts.
