Siargao Travel Guide
Magazine Layout Design
“Whether you are in search of yourself in the ocean, in the mountain tops, in the strength of each wave, or in the variety of savoury food palates, finding yourself in Siargao is endless”
One of my passion projects, this Siargao travel guide is especially close to my heart. As a Filipino kid who had to migrate and leave my homeland, I’ve always longed to return and to be close to the ocean again.
Siargao is an island where time slows down, or sometimes feels like it doesn't exist at all. This guide explores its surrounding islands, iconic surf spots, and vibrant local culture. I created it with the hope of capturing and sharing the richness, beauty, and soul of Siargao.

Project Scope
This is one of my most personal passion projects created from a longing to reconnect with my roots. As a Filipino who grew up abroad, I’ve always carried a deep desire to return to the motherland. This guide is a love letter to Siargao, a place where the ocean feels like home and time seems to dissolve.
I wanted the guide to feel slow and immersive, mirroring the island itself. From hand-selected typefaces inspired by the fluidity of waves to the layout grid mimicking tides and white space like the sea, each design choice was intentional.
